DAV School Wins Inter-School Super Six Cricket Tournament

 DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School won the 1st Dr. Baburam Pokhrel Memorial Inter-School Super Six Cricket Tournament on September 11. The tournament featured 26 schools across the Kathmandu Valley.
On 12th September, DAV Chairperson, Shree Anil Kedia, and Principal, Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao, honoured all the achievers during the school’s first-ever Corridor Ceremony.
In the final match, DAV Team "A" emerged victorious after defeating DAV Team "B", and both teams were honoured during the ceremony.
In the same event, the Chairperson and Principal also honoured Avanie Rai for her outstanding success in a series of National Golf Tournaments.
Addressing the students of the Sports Academy, the Principal praised the significant contributions of DAV Sports Academy in raising the school's sports performance. 
In the same trait, Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia also appreciated the efforts of Head Coach Mr. Purnenedu Ghosh (HoD sports) and Assistant Coaches Mr. Dilip Yadav and Mr. Durgesh Thapa in the success of the DAV Cricket Team.
In the final match, held on Wednesday at GHCA Indoor Cricket (Cricsal) in Hattiban, Lalitpur, DAV ‘A’ Team triumphed over their schoolmates, the DAV ‘B’ team. The tournament was organised by VS Niketan School, Kathmandu.
After winning the toss, DAV ‘B’ elected to bat but set a modest target of 25 runs. DAV ‘A’ easily chased the target in just 4 overs without losing a single wicket, securing a 6-wicket victory. DAV ‘B’ was bowled out in 5 overs in the scheduled 6-over match.
Keshav Agrawal of DAV ‘A’, who was declared Player of the Final, delivered a standout bowling performance, taking 3 wickets for just 6 runs. Subrat Mallik led the batting effort with an unbeaten 14 runs, the highest of the match.
In the semifinals, DAV ‘A’ defeated LRI School by 22 runs, while DAV ‘B’ reached the final by beating APF School by 6 wickets.
Prasiddha Jaisi of DAV ‘A’ was awarded Player of the Tournament and Best Batter, while Bilak Neupane from Manakamana School was named Best Bowler.
