This year’s theme, “Putting an End to Plastic Pollution,” was thoughtfully integrated into various hands-on learning experiences designed to enhance students’ understanding and dedication to environmental sustainability. Executive members of the Vasudha Eco Club, along with Grade VIII students, conducted a cleanliness drive at the Saraswati Temple. Students from Grades XI and XII viewed documentaries titled "World Environment Day 2025 Theme: End Plastic Pollution – Fact Noodles” and "Plastic Disaster – An Ocean Pollution Documentary.”

Grade VI students participated in a story writing competition focused on animals affected by plastic, and Grade V students created collages on the theme 'Control Plastic Use'.
According to Ms Kusum Lama, In-charge of the Vasudha Eco Club, all the programmes aimed to celebrate World Environment Day through eco-friendly activities that raised awareness about nature conservation, encouraged sustainable habits, and fostered creativity, responsibility, and community spirit among students.
In the Junior School, students of Grades III and IV engaged in an Inter-house MS Paint competition based on the World Environment Day theme and also participated in a collaborative classroom activity titled ‘Scraps to Splendor’. Grade II students expressed their creativity through a poster-making competition, while Grade I students explored nature through a germination activity. Kindergarten students enjoyed colouring and printing activities centered on the environment, making the celebration both joyful and educational across all age groups.
