Celebration of Guru Purnima, 2081

DAV Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia and the First Lady Shreemati Sunita Kedia with their deep respect and honour organized a grand Guru Purnima celebration programme for the entire teachers' community in Buddha Hall on July 19.
In his address, the Chairperson extended his best wishes to all the teachers, emphasizing their crucial role in nation-building. He highlighted the divine deeds of teachers in character building, fulfilling parents' dreams, and equipping students with essential skills and knowledge. He also urged the teachers community to reflect on the depletion of cultural values and civilization, motivating them to tackle challenges in the teaching and learning process. Additionally, he encouraged teachers to foster hope for the revival of our civilization and culture.
In a special emphasis, Chairperson commemorated Lord Buddha's first sermon on Guru Purnima, noting that the day also represents 'Dhamma Deshana'. He emphasized the importance of meditation in awakening human consciousness and expressed his delight at the large number of teachers participating in the 10-day Vipashyana course, a dream he had held for 20-25 years. He expressed hope that everyone would strive to become a guru in their lives.
The Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao delivered a welcome speech, highlighting the significant role of gurus from the ancient days to the present time. She commended the unwavering commitment and dedication of teachers in nurturing young minds, stating, "Every day, you step into the classroom with the mission to inspire, educate, and empower. You go beyond teaching; you counsel, support, and shape the future of numerous students. Your role as educators extends far beyond the curriculum, instilling values, encouraging analytical thinking, and guiding students to be true humans."
On behalf of the teachers' community, the Principal expressed heartfelt gratitude to Shree Anil Kedia and the First Lady Shreemati Sunita Kedia for organizing the celebration programme. She acknowledged the continuous support and generosity of the Chairperson and the First Lady, noting that their appreciation for teachers' hard work and dedication has always motivated and guided everyone of them to pursue the vision and dream of the founders. The Principal concluded her speech by expressing the voice of teachers and said 'It's great privilege and pride to work and learn under the guidance of the Chairperson along with love and care of the First Lady'. She wished to see the blessings and guidance in the lives of entire teachers' community.
As a part of honouring and felicitation programme, the Chairperson, the First Lady, and the Principal honored all the teachers with invaluable gifts. The celebration programme also featured astounding cultural dances by students, expressing gratitude to the teachers. Additionally, a group of teachers from kindergarten to Grade XII performed beautiful songs and dances, adding joy to the celebration. The music and dance department's performances were equally touching and memorable.
The program was moderated by Head Girl Aastha Thakur and Sports Captain Kkrishant Gurung from Grade XII.
