
Celebration of 201st Birth Anniversary of Swami Dayananda Saraswati in Middle School (9th to 11th February, 2025)

The Department of English organised various co-curricular activities and competitions to celebrate the 201st Birth Anniversary of Swami Dayananda Saraswati from 9th to 11th February 2025.
The events included a PowerPoint Presentation Competition for Grades VII and VIII, a Debate Competition for Grade VI, an Essay Writing Competition for Grade VI, a Bio Speech Competition for Grades V and VI, and a Poetry Competition for Grades V and VI. All the topics were carefully chosen to highlight the teachings of Swami Dayananda Saraswati and their relevance in the present time.
The judges of the competitions were teachers from the department of English including HOD Ms. Asha Khadka.
In the PowerPoint Presentation Competition, winners from Grade VII were Aashriya Dahal (Section C), Aayushree Banstola (Section I), Ilisha Shrestha (Section D), and Eva Fatima (Section H), who secured the first position. From Grade VIII, Aariana Acharya (Section A), Arjav Dali (Section C), Prachur Dhakal (Section F), Suwana Upreti (Section A), and Sofiya Baniya (Section F) won first place.
In the Debate Competition for Grade VI, Nivana Karki (Section D) secured the first position, followed by Saphal Adhikari (Section F) in second place and Arishiya Paudel (Section G) in third place.
In the Essay Writing Competition for Grade VI, Aaradhya Khadka (Section A) won first place. Anandita Shrestha (Section G) secured second place, followed by Sayantika Maji (Section J) in third place. Paridhi Malla Shahi (Section C) received the consolation prize.
For Grade V, Elegance Sapkota (Section I) won the first position in the Essay Writing Competition. Kritisa Lamsal (Section F) secured second place, while Aaryav Dhakal (Section F) came in third. Aaliya Tibrewal (Section H) received the consolation prize.
In the Bio Speech Competition for Grade VI, Linora Gurung (Section A) won first place, followed by Mayur Basnet (Section C) in second place and Ronish Shahi (Section F) in third. From Grade V, Kritisa Lamsal (Section A) secured first place, while Saurav Thakur (Section E) and Sugam Adhikari (Section B) secured second and third places, respectively.
In the Poetry Competition for Grade V, Aanchal Mohta (Section H) won first place, followed by Gracy Sen Thakuri (Section I) in second place and Shrvya Shrestha (Section E) in third. For Grade VI, Navya Mohta (Section H) won the first position, while Eliza Kahnal (Section F) and Anandita Shrestha (Section G) secured second and third places, respectively.
