Award Ceremony of the 2nd Sushil Kedia Memorial Inter-School Basketball Tournament

The award ceremony of the 2nd Sushil Kedia Memorial Inter-School Basketball Tournament was held at the Basketball Court Covered Hall, Kirtipur, Kathmandu, immediately after the final match on 15th August 2025.
On behalf of the school management, Senior School Co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji and National Basketball Player Mr. Abhishek Singh presented the awards to the winners.
A total of ten schools participated in the tournament in both the Under-18 Boys and Under-18 Girls categories. In the Boys’ category, LRI School emerged as the champions, with Gyanodaya securing the runners-up position. In the Girls’ category, GEMS claimed the Champions Trophy, while Gyanodaya Secondary School finished as runners-up. The winners in both categories were honoured with trophies, medals and merit certificates.
Individual awards were also presented to outstanding players. In the Boys’ category, Rakesh Bhujel of LRI School received the Most Valuable Player award, while his teammate Ryuchi Shrestha was named Highest Scorer. In the Girls’ category, GEMS players excelled, with Dibyansa Karki winning the Most Valuable Player award and Roisha Dhakwa securing the Highest Scorer title.
The three-day tournament, held from 13th to 15th August 2025, saw the participation of 120 players and was officiated by three officials from the Nepal Basketball Association. DAV School teams put up commendable performances but were lost in the semi-final stage.
During the award ceremony, Senior School Co-ordinator and Mr. Singh congratulated all the winners and wished them continued success in their sporting journey. They also praised the remarkable sportsmanship displayed by all participating schools throughout the tournament.
