Avanie Rai ClinchesU-19 Title at Junior Open Golf Tournament

Avanie Rai, a Grade IX student, claimed a remarkable victory at the Arshiya Presents Nepal Women’s Open Golf Tournament held at the Royal Nepal Golf Club on April 13. She secured the Under-19 title with an impressive score of 34 points.
In recognition of her outstanding performance, she was awarded a cash prize of NPR 25,000 and a gift voucher worth NPR 25,000.
The tournament also served as a qualifying round for the top 10 golfers who will progress to the final round scheduled for Sunday. With this win, Avanie successfully secured her place among the top qualifiers.
The prestigious event brought together 60 women golfers from across the country. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by prominent personalities, including acclaimed actress Manisha Koirala, Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla, RNGC President Madhukar Yakthumba, Captain Mithun Rai, Lady Captain and chief organiser Arshiya Banu, and Nepal Golf Association President Tashi Ghale, among others.
