3-day Souper Bowl Food Donation Programme

3-Day Souper Bowl Food Donation program, the major programe of Mother Teresa Social Service Club was organised at the School premises from 14th to 16th November, 2022.

Main objective of this programme is to inculcate the culture of caring and sharing among the students. The theme for this year is 'every child deserves to be happy, healthy and safe'.

The school strongly believes that a small help can make bigger happiness to the desperate children, elderly people or even adults who are in need of support in our society.

On the first day, the students of Grade II, IV, VII, X and XII along with primary school teachers and housekeeping staff  open heartedly donated various food items like beaten rice, rice, pulses and beans, flour/maida/suji, oil, sugar, biscuits/cookies, noodles/bhujiya/dalmoth, tea, spices/dry fruits etc.

Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia, Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao and Vice-principal Mr. Ram Chandra Khanal and Mr. Narayan Kharel from Rotary Club of Kathmandu along with all the members of School Management participated in the donation programme with the students and staff.

The donated food items was handed to Marry Ward School- Jhamshikhel, Lalitpur and Marry Ward School- Lubhu Lalitpur, Horac Nepal- Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Manjushree Elderly Home- Dolahiti, Lalitpur, Ashraya Nepal- Baghdole, Lalitpur, Mudita Sewa Griha- Mahalaxmisthan, Lalitpur, The Orphans Home-Tikhideval, Lalitpur, Aama Ghar- Ravibhawan, Kathmandu.

Every two years, Social Service Club of DAVSKVB organizes this type of large scale donation programme. The Souper Bowl food donation program was started by the club since the inception of the school. The club was initiated with the sole motive to inculcate sharing and caring culture in the community.
