2nd Day Teachers’ Training and Workshop on Inquiry-Based Learning

Teachers from Kindergarten to Grade XII participated in the second day of the Teachers’ Training and Workshop on Inquiry-Based Learning held on 8th May, 2026. The session was conducted as a continuation of the training programme on Inquiry-Based Learning: Pedagogy, Approaches, Assessment and Evaluation, which commenced on 3rd May, 2026.
The training session was facilitated by Prof. Dr. Laxman Gnawali, a distinguished academician from Kathmandu University and the current President of the Nepal English Language Teachers’ Association (NELTA).
During her welcome address, the Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao joined the resource person in highlighting the importance of the 3 Es — Empower, Engage and Excel — in lesson planning in connection with inquiry-based learning from her vast experience and knowledge. She also shared the school’s vision of implementing four different pedagogical approaches for each subject within a semester, which further enriched the discussion and presentation.
The resource person elaborated on the preparation of effective lesson plans under inquiry-based and problem-based learning approaches. He also clearly distinguished between project-based learning and task-based learning, enabling teachers to gain a deeper understanding of modern pedagogical practices. All the teachers actively participated in a variety of engaging activities throughout the session and attended the training with their respective textbooks for practical learning and application.
Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal, along with all the Wing Co-ordinators and HR Manager, were present to extend a warm welcome to the resource person.
