‘Storytelling by Parents’ Programme for Grade I and II Students

The Parental Involvement Team of DAV School organised an engaging ‘Storytelling by Parents’ programme for students of Grade I and II on September 9, 2026. The programme aimed to encourage creativity, imagination and communication skills among young learners while strengthening the bond between home and school.
The programme began with a warm welcome to the participating parents by Junior School Co-ordinator Mr. Andrew Fitz Patrick. Parents from different sections of Grades I and II actively participated in the session and shared interesting and meaningful stories with the students. Their lively storytelling created a joyful and enriching learning experience for the young learners.
From Grade I, Gaurika Poudel’s parent Rupa Acharya Poudel, Luniva Tamrakar’s parent Ujjwal Tamrakar, Ismrit Raut’s parent Mamata Shrestha, Pralisha Bhusal’s parent Pratibha Banjade, Kurasbi Panu Lama’s parent Gita Gurung, Niyara Bajracharya’s parent Niroj Bajracharya and Srikaya Machamasee’s parent Sabina Maharjan participated in the programme.
Similarly, from Grade II, Kavish Gautam’s parent Chanda Dhakal, Samriddhi Thapa’s parent Hari Lila Panta, Anshu K.C.’s parent Padma Bajracharya, Amelik Khatri’s parent Goma Kumari Acharya, Adwaita Shah’s parent Pushpa Chand, Swarnika Kafle’s parent Rojina Karki, Aayushi Shrestha’s parent Situ Shrestha and Mayank Agarwal’s parent Preety Agarwal took part in the storytelling session.
The programme concluded on a positive note, highlighting the important role parents can play in making learning enjoyable and meaningful. Through stories, the young learners were encouraged to imagine, listen, express themselves and learn beyond the classroom.
