Date: Feb 1st, 2026
DAV SKVB School organised a thoughtful and inspiring interaction programme titled “Chips with the Chairman”, bringing together the teaching fraternity and school leadership in an atmosphere marked by warmth, meaningful dialogue and a shared sense of purpose.
The occasion was graced by the Honourable Chairperson, Shree Anil Kedia, and the First Lady of the institution, Shreemati Sunita Kedia, along with the Principal, Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao, Vice-principal Mr. Ramchandra Khanal, CAO Ms. Vijaya Tater, SSO, Wing Co-ordinators, HR personnel and teachers.
Addressing the gathering, the Principal Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao remarked that the programme symbolized leadership grounded in fellowship rather than formality. Paying rich tribute to Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia, she acknowledged his profound vision of education as a sacred responsibility guided by values, discipline and selfless service. She further emphasized that under his enlightened stewardship, DAV SKVB School has evolved into the centre of excellence that seamlessly blends modern education with Vedic wisdom, nurturing learners instilled with strong character and moral conscience.
The Principal also expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the First Lady, Shreemati Sunita Kedia, whose compassionate and motherly guidance lends the institution its emotional strength and humane touch. Her unwavering concern for the well-being of both students and teachers was described as the very soul of the school.
The Principal equally commended the teaching fraternity for their unwavering dedication to the field of education, underscored by trust, consistency, courage and a deep spirit of service. She concluded her address by calling upon all educators to reaffirm their collective commitment to upholding the DAV ethos and carrying forward the vision of the institution with sincerity and devotion.
In his concluding address, Chairperson Shree Anil Kedia reflected nostalgically on the journey of the school, observing that although DAVSVB School was established 33 years ago, the years seemed to have passed in the blink of an eye. He shared that he had grown up alongside the institution and had matured with it. With characteristic humility and warmth, he remarked that he had never envisaged himself assuming the role of Chairperson.
Revisiting the history of the DAV institution since its inception, he noted that while it is challenging to remain simple, it is even more demanding to lead a life rooted in ethics and values. He added that walking the path of Dhamma, as taught by Lord Buddha, brings true fulfillment, inner peace and purpose.
The Chairperson further inspired the teachers by sharing four guiding principles that have shaped his life: the art of listening, the joy of giving, the grace of bowing down with humility, and the power of gratitude. He emphasised that these values lead to genuine happiness and meaningful success, reiterating that a life of contentment is far superior to one defined merely by achievement. He also conveyed a special message of appreciation to teachers, acknowledging their pivotal role in shaping future generations.
Adding to the celebratory spirit of the occasion, teachers from Kindergarten to Senior School, along with teachers of the Music and Dance Departments, presented soulful musical performances and graceful dance sequences.
Earlier, Mr. Narayan Khatiwada, IX and X SEE In-charge and Head of the Nepali Department, delivered the welcome address and formally introduced the programme. He, along with Ms Asha Khadka, Head of the English Department, ably moderated the session. The formal proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Purushottam Pokharel, Head of the Hindi Department.
