Visit to BP Koirala Memorial Observatory and Planetarium 2025

A total of 80 astronomy enthusiasts and curious students from Grades V and VI explored the vastness of space and the intricacies of our solar system during their visit to the BP Koirala Memorial Observatory and Planetarium in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, on 27 November.
The students were accompanied by Middle School Activity In-charge Mr. Surchen Shah, Newton Science Club In-charge Mr. Sudhir Singh, and Middle School Science Teacher Ms. Shreejana Neupane.
According to Club In-charge Mr. Sudhir Singh, the primary objective of the visit was to enhance students’ scientific understanding by providing them with practical exposure to astronomical observations and concepts beyond the classroom.
The visit was a calendar-based activity of the Newton Science Club for Middle School. Upon their return, the students expressed heartfelt gratitude to the School Management and teachers for offering such a valuable and inspiring learning opportunity.
