Character Tree Award Distribution Ceremony in Middle School Principal Announces New Limelight Scholar Award for Section Toppers

The Principal, Dr. Bhubaneswari Rao, felicitated the recipients of the Character Tree Award during a special Award Distribution Assembly held yesterday (3rd December, 2025).
From this academic session onwards, the Principal also introduced the new award—the Limelight Scholar Award—to recognise outstanding academic achievement in every section. The top three performers from each section, from Kindergarten to Grade XII, will receive this award biannually following the half-yearly examinations. In her announcement, the Principal remarked that the Limelight Scholar Award serves as a mini Academic Excellence Award, complementing the main Academic Excellence Award presented to class toppers on Annual Day.
The Character Tree Award winners from Grade V are: Eshan Jha, Aakarsh Shakya, Dhanshita Gurung, Abnish Tamang, Samarpan Thapa, Nirvan Pandey, Abhiraj Shah, Sianshi Bansal, Nirav Panjiyar and Supriya Kushwah.
From Grade VI, the recipients are: Himanshu Shah, Sumir Dhakal, Samata Thapa, Dibyansh Malla, Simon Bhandari, Divyanshi Joshi, Grisha Adhikari, Aaisha Tariq, Brahmi Neupane and Diwash Yadav.
Recipients from Grade VII include: Pranav Shakya, Reagan Baidya, Akshit Sah, Dikshanta Rajbhandari, Minoli Karki, Aarav Mandal, Mona Mishra, Sayantika Maji, Pallavi Khadka and Shreya Gupta.
Similarly, the awardees from Grade VIII are: Sadbhav Bhattarai, Subin Tandukar, Shuvasna Shrestha, Aashma Khatun, Sherolene Rana Magar, Aaradhya Bahadur Shahi, Tanishka Shikhwal, Purvi Agrawal, Arav Chaudhary and Bibhash Sharma.
Addressing the gathering, the Principal congratulated all the winners and emphasised the profound significance of character in human life, reiterating DAV’s unwavering commitment to character development. She reminded students that character endures long after one’s lifetime.
The Principal also encouraged students from Grades V to XII to maintain a healthy balance between academics and co-curricular activities, so that they may excel academically while developing diverse skills essential for thriving in today’s competitive world.
